The Morgan Sports Centre is an outstanding sports facility and event leader in the Reading area. The Centre consists of a large sports hall, a newly furbished fitness suite and two mirrored dance studios.

On the first floor of the centre is The Forum, a large function room with a fitted kitchen, serving area and a large outdoor terrace which overlooks the school’s grounds.

The site also plays host to 11 outdoor tennis courts, 8 netball courts and a 25 metre indoor swimming pool. While meeting the needs of the Queen Anne’s School students during the day, these wonderful facilities are then open to the public at night and on weekends.

Courts & Track

Courts

Queen Anne’s School boasts 11 tennis courts and 8 netball courts on its campus.

With both tennis and netball lines, the court can play host to external tennis and netball lessons and matches throughout the year.

Track

Our sports fields are utilised for a number of different sports and activities throughout the year. This multi-purpose area has previously been booked out for: school sports days, triathlons, and outdoor social and sporting events.

Dance Studios

We have two state-of-the-art dance studios with full mirrored wall and heated flooring.

Host to our dance students during the day, the evenings are available for outside clubs, groups and fitness instructors to have their own classes that can be open to the public. 

Our studios are ideally suited for:

  • Dance classes
  • Yoga sessions
  • Rehearsals
  • Other fitness classes

Key features include:

  • Wooden sprung floor
  • Underfloor heating
  • Ballet barres
  • Sound system

The upper dance studio can also be hired in conjunction with the forum to create a large open plan space for parties and celebrations.

Fitness Suite

Queen Anne’s Gym Members can utilize this area of the facility to use a number of different fitness machines and equipment.

Designed for both cardio and strength conditioning, our fitness suite includes:

  • Treadmills
  • Bikes
  • Rowing machines
  • Stationary equipment
  • Free weights
  • Swiss exercise balls

Sports Hall

The Sports Hall is available to hire for a variety of activities – whether you want to hire a court to play a racquet sport or the whole hall for a regular club or a one off event, we have something to offer.

It is a perfect area for various types of sports and activities.

Our sports hall offers a number of regulation sized courts, which include:

  • Badminton (four courts)
  • Basketball (six baskets)
  • Netball

Our sports hall can be used by different sports clubs, groups and individuals to meet any of their sports and activities needs!

The Hall is also available for half hall hire on request.

Swimming Pool

Our 25m indoor swimming pool provides a welcoming and safe environment for casual swimmers and learners.

Swimming Pool Hire

Evening and weekend sessions in the pool are available for hire to local swimming clubs and private hire.

The swimming pool features starting blocks, making it a fantastic venue for sporting events.

We also have a number of qualified lifeguards who are available to cover your hire at an additional cost.
